Celtic Eyeing Move for Striker Kieron Bowie Following Hellas Verona’s Relegation
As per recent reports, Celtic have the opportunity to bring striker Kieron Bowie back to Scotland this summer transfer window.
Back in January, there were a number of reports linking the forward to the Hoops; however, he made the trip that several Scottish players have undertaken in recent years, moving to the Italian Serie A and signing for Hellas Verona.
Well, the opportunity to sign Bowie may have arisen once more. Indeed, as Football Insider is reporting, Celtic have been offered the chance to sign Bowie after Verona’s recently confirmed relegation to Serie B.
They state that he signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Italian side, but the relegation has complicated matters, implying that they may need to balance the books this forthcoming summer.
Since joining in January, Bowie has featured 13 times for Verona, scoring four times, including a late equalizer against champions Inter Milan at San Siro last weekend. Not a terrible return considering how poor the side is as a collective.
He will be hoping he has done enough to be part of Steve Clarke’s squad for the World Cup this summer, which is likely to include other Serie A names such as Lewis Ferguson, Che Adams, and Scott McTominay among potential others.
