Manchester United has witnessed numerous former stars building business empires beyond football, with many continuing to expand their influence long after departing Old Trafford.
As the modern game integrates even more with media and technology, ex-players are investing significantly in platforms that shape how football is consumed globally.
One of United’s greatest players has taken a major step ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo Joins the Broadcasting Sector
Cristiano Ronaldo has become a shareholder in the Brazilian sports broadcasting company LiveMode, as the company announced on Instagram.
The former Manchester United forward has invested in the international division, LiveModeTV, as part of the company’s strategy to expand ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
His role will involve serving as a strategic partner in a new operating group aimed at broadening the brand’s reach beyond South America.
The financial details of the agreement remain undisclosed.
This strategic move is timely for LiveMode, which is gearing up to enter new markets, including Portugal.
The company has gained notable traction through CazeTV, a platform developed alongside Brazilian streamer Casimiro Miguel.
CazeTV has become recognized for offering free sports broadcasts on YouTube, covering significant events like the World Cup and Olympic Games.
By partnering with Cristiano Ronaldo, LiveMode aims to enhance its global presence through both digital engagement and commercial partnerships.
A company statement confirmed the collaboration: “We’re proud to announce that Cristiano Ronaldo is the newest partner of LiveModeTV. Together, we’re bringing live football to YouTube in a new way, with fans at the center of everything.”
While still playing for Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to expand his business interests.
He already holds a stake in UD Almeria and has invested in various ventures outside of football.
In March, Herbalife completed the acquisition of a business project backed by Ronaldo and Diogo Dalot, showcasing the former United striker’s active engagement in high-value commercial endeavors.
The Portuguese star remains one of football’s most prominent global figures, and this latest venture further solidifies his footprint in the sports media landscape.
