Glody Lilepo, the standout midfielder from the Democratic Republic of Congo, will continue to play for Kaizer Chiefs next season. Despite a remarkable performance last season, which helped the team secure a third-place finish in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), Lilepo has attracted significant interest from other clubs.

Reports indicate that North African club Al-Ittihad has made a formal offer to acquire the talented winger. However, Kaizer Chiefs management has reportedly declined this proposal, emphasizing their commitment to retaining the player.

A source close to the situation shared with Dailysport, “Yes, there was huge interest in him. But the player is staying. He is still a Chiefs player.” This statement reinforces the club’s decision to keep Lilepo as part of their squad for the upcoming season.

As speculation continues regarding his future, Lilepo’s contributions on the field have made him a valuable asset for the Chiefs, indicating that interest from other teams is likely to persist.
