Liverpool’s defence was tested excessively by the deadly attack of PSG. With sentinels like Ibrahim Konate and Virgil Van Dijk in place, Liverpool would have expected to keep the forwards at bay but the speed of the trio was too hot to handle.

Luis Enrique is still confused about what more he had to do to score a goal. PSG kept possession the whole game, played good attacking football but at the end Harvey Elliot scored in the 87th minute making it the lone goal of the match from the lone shot on target by Liverpool.
PSG played the better ball but Liverpool won. Football ain’t fair and when men like Alisson decide to do it on their own, you can just pray.
The 2nd leg will be played at Anfield next week. Liverpool would be happy they got the away goal, making it easy to play the home tie. PSG has a week to plan to break the Brazilian wall.
