Ivory Coast has officially announced its squad for the upcoming World Cup, set to commence on June 11. The announcement was made by the Elephants’ manager on May 15, detailing a mix of new players, returning veterans, and some unexpected choices.

Notably absent from the initial squad is Sébastien Haller, who missed the last Africa Cup of Nations. He has been included in the reserve list. Conversely, Ange-Yoan Bonny, who has recently switched his sporting nationality, has earned a call-up for the tournament in America.

The squad comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders, and nine forwards. The goalkeepers selected are Yahia Fofana, Mohamed Kone, and Alban Lafont. Defenders include Emmanuel Agbadou, Clement Akpa, Ousmane Diomande, Guela Doue, Ghislain Konan, Odilon Kossounou, Evan Ndicka, and Wilfried Singo.

In midfield, Ivory Coast will see Seko Fofana, Parfait Guiagon, Christ Inao Oulaï, Franck Kessie, Ibrahim Sangare, and Jean-Mickaël Seri in action. The forward line features Simon Adingra, Ange-Yoan Bonny, Amad Diallo, Oumar Diakite, Yan Diomande, Evann Guessand, Nicolas Pepe, Bazoumana Toure, and Elye Wahi. Additionally, Sébastien Haller is among the substitutes alongside Ira Tape, Christopher Operi, Malick Yalcouye, and Martial Godo.
