Tottenham Prepares for Summer Transfer Changes
As Tottenham gears up for next season, significant changes are anticipated at Hotspur Way. While many fans are eyeing potential departures, club officials are also strategizing for incoming talent.
Among the targets, Tottenham has already reached out regarding a possible signing of Andrea Cambiaso, as detailed in an Juventus-full-back-andrea-cambiaso/”>initial contract.
Juventus Open to Offers for Cambiaso
The 26-year-old full-back is on Juventus’s list of players available for sale this summer. According to a report from Calciomercato IT, the Italian club is willing to consider offers ranging from €30m to €35m for his transfer.
However, Tottenham faces competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City, both of whom are also interested in securing Cambiaso’s services.
Additionally, Napoli has emerged as a contender in the race to sign him. Nonetheless, the report suggests that Premier League clubs are more likely to be Cambiaso’s next destination, as Serie A teams may lack the financial strength to compete effectively.
Cambiaso primarily plays as a full-back but has also been deployed in wing-back and winger roles. This versatility makes him an appealing choice for manager De Zerbi. Pep Guardiola even considered him a target in January 2025, highlighting his tactical significance on the field.
Interest from Serie A Continues
Giovanni Manna, now sporting director at Napoli, played a key role in bringing Cambiaso to Juventus in 2022 and reportedly maintains a strong relationship with him. This connection might give Napoli an edge if negotiations become complicated.
Inter Milan has previously attempted to acquire Cambiaso, but Juventus thwarted that effort during the winter transfer window. Now, Inter is reportedly looking to leverage Carlos Augusto in a potential deal to entice Juventus.
AC Milan has also been linked with Cambiaso but is no longer viewed as a serious contender for his signature.
At a price of €35m, Cambiaso could be considered a bargain, given his technical skills. The central question remains whether Tottenham can allocate funds for him, especially with priority upgrades needed in other positions.
