Manchester United Reveals Date for Launch of New Home Kit
Manchester United has officially announced when fans will have their first opportunity to see the club’s new 2026/27 home kit in full detail.
The club teased the announcement on Instagram with a straightforward post featuring the date ‘14.05.26’ alongside the Manchester United and Adidas logos.
This announcement follows several leaks regarding the shirt design that have circulated online in recent months.
Manchester United is also set to wear the new home kit during their final two matches of the current season.
Those games will be against Nottingham Forest and Brighton.
However, not every current player will don the new kit next season. Casemiro has confirmed that he will leave Manchester United at the end of his contract this summer, meaning the Brazilian midfielder will depart before the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
The leaked designs of the shirt suggest a classic-inspired look. The new Adidas kit maintains United’s traditional red base but features a striped collar and coordinating sleeve detailing.
Additionally, white shorts with black stripes are expected to make a return, while the socks will showcase a black design with red trim. Another key feature is the ‘UNITED’ wording positioned on the back collar area of the shirt.
Many supporters are drawing comparisons between the design and some of Manchester United’s retro kits from past decades.
The teaser announcement from the club strongly indicates that the full launch will occur on May 14.
In recent years, Manchester United has increasingly leveraged social media reveals and early kit debuts to heighten excitement around new releases.
With Champions League football secured for next season and growing anticipation surrounding the summer transfer window, the launch of the new shirt is expected to attract a significant amount of attention from supporters.
