Jamie Carragher Praises Tottenham’s Draw Against Leeds as Vital Point for Survival

Jamie Carragher has changed his stance on Tottenham’s chances of avoiding relegation, asserting that the draw against Leeds United will be seen in a more positive light as time passes. He specifically commended goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who delivered a remarkable performance, including what Carragher deemed one of the best saves of the season.

Previously a vocal critic of Tottenham’s prospects, Carragher had cautioned fans against getting overly optimistic. While Monday night’s draw did not significantly alter the points table, the manner in which the team earned the point seems to have shifted Carragher’s view on their potential moving forward.

Kinsky emerged as the standout player, making two crucial saves that prevented what could have been a damaging loss and helped secure a point that keeps Spurs two points clear of the relegation zone with just two games left in the season.

Carragher Applauds Antonin Kinsky’s Heroic Saves

Carragher was particularly impressed by Kinsky’s save from Stuart Longstaff, which hit the crossbar and would have been pivotal had it resulted in a goal. Speaking to BBC Sport, Carragher remarked:

“I think that point will feel a lot better in the morning, when they reflect on the game. You think of the save from the keeper Kinsky from Longstaff onto the bar, that is one of the saves of the season. The two saves he made, one in the first half and one in the second, has made sure his team have got what could be a vital point.”
