Casemiro’s Emotional Farewell Set for Old Trafford

Casemiro will say his final goodbyes to Old Trafford on Sunday lunchtime, in a game set to be both celebratory and emotional.

The 34-year-old midfielder, who joined the club in August 2022, is preparing to leave at the end of his contract after becoming a true hero among the United faithful during his time with the club.

Shown in a post on Instagram from user ‘makima_indavidwetrust’, Manchester United has launched a special limited-edition shirt honoring Casemiro. The shirt features a graphic of Casemiro on the back, with only a few available at a price of £125.

The design has been printed on United’s new 2026/27 shirt, which is set for its first outing against Nottingham Forest.

It’s just one of the ways United is honoring Casemiro as he bids farewell on Sunday, in a series of classy gestures from the club.

Before the final home match of the season for the Red Devils against Nottingham Forest, a large surfer banner paying tribute to Casemiro will be unveiled, a design that was presented to the Brazilian himself at the training ground Carrington earlier this month.

The banner will be unfurled from the west stand tier two at the Theatre of Dreams, draping over tier one as the players from both United and Nottingham Forest emerge.

This will occur after the expected appointment of Michael Carrick as the permanent Manchester United manager, who is set to sign a two-year deal as head coach. It’s going to be a busy day at Old Trafford, with a football match also taking place!

No one will want to win more on Sunday than the experienced Brazilian, as he steps onto the field at Old Trafford one last time in a Red Devils shirt – showcasing the true professional he is.
