Manchester United Plans Attacking Changes Ahead of New Season

Manchester United are expected to oversee several attacking changes this summer as planning continues ahead of next season.

Benjamin Sesko, who arrived at Old Trafford last year, currently leads the men’s team scoring charts with 11 goals.

2024 summer signing Joshua Zirkzee is among the current players whose future remains uncertain following recent reported talks with Napoli.

However, potential exits are not only being discussed on the men’s side.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are also open to selling Elisabeth Terland this summer if an offer matching their valuation arrives.

The Norway international joined United from Brighton in 2024.

She has since established herself as one of the most important attacking players in Marc Skinner’s squad.

Despite injury setbacks during the campaign, Terland has still managed six Women’s Super League goals this season.

The 24-year-old currently sits as the club’s joint-top scorer in the league alongside Jessica Park and Melvine Malard.

United triggered a one-year extension in her contract earlier this season, keeping her tied to the club until 2027.

However, there is still uncertainty over her long-term future after no agreement was reached on a fresh deal.

Terland is understood to want to stay at the club.

However, United are reportedly prepared to consider offers rather than risk losing her for free further down the line.

Her absence in recent weeks was felt by the women’s side during a difficult run of results.

She recently returned from injury as one of three players back available for selection, having been sidelined with calf and Achilles issues since March.

The Red Devils also strengthened their forward options during the January transfer window.

They brought in Lea Schuller from Bayern Munich alongside striker Ellen Wangerheim from Hammarby.

Those arrivals have added further competition in attacking areas ahead of what could become another significant summer of change at the club.
