As the World Cup approaches, Morocco is set to face Brazil in their opening match on 13 June. Scheduled to begin at 10 PM GMT, the fixture marks a significant moment for the Atlas Lions as they aim to make an impact at the 2026 tournament.
At a recent press conference, Morocco’s manager, Mohamed Ouahbi, discussed the team’s mindset ahead of this highly anticipated encounter. He emphasized that while they hold respect for the Brazilian team, they do not harbor fear. “We are not afraid of Brazil. We respect them and I am sure they respect us too,” Ouahbi stated, adding that his team is prepared for the challenge ahead.
Ouahbi expressed confidence in his players, highlighting their focus on improvement match by match. He remarked, “Our aim is to be better after every match,” underscoring the team’s determination to perform well in the tournament.
In the group stage of the World Cup, taking place from 11 June to 19 July across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Morocco will compete in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
