Pep Guardiola, the esteemed manager of Manchester City, has issued an emotional statement regarding his impending departure from the club. The Spanish coach revealed that he feels completely drained, both physically and mentally, similar to the experiences of his long-time rival, Jürgen Klopp.

Guardiola candidly highlighted the relentless pressures of top-level European football, which he says have significantly depleted his energy. He expressed concerns about his ability to maintain the intense demands of the sport, stating, “I sense I won’t have the stamina needed to play matches every three days, to keep battling for titles until the end, and to stand in front of the players in the dressing room every single day. It’s been a long 10 years…”

“I feel the same way Jürgen Klopp did when he left. My energy is running out.”

Despite these challenges, Guardiola mentioned that he received uplifting support that brought genuine joy during difficult moments. He acknowledged a heartwarming message from Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson as a highlight of his career in English football.

“One of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received in my life is the message Sir Alex Ferguson sent me two days ago. That made me so happy,” added the visibly moved Catalan.
