Details: According to renowned journalist and insider Nicolò Schira on his X social media page, 61-year-old Roberto Mancini, currently head coach of Qatari club Al Sadd, has expressed his willingness to return as head coach of the Italy national team.
Reports indicate that Mancini is prepared to accept a significant pay cut to secure the coveted position. In addition to Mancini, other candidates, including Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri, are also being considered for the role.
Mancini previously managed the Italy national team from 2018 to 2023. His most notable achievement with the Azzurri was clinching the Euro 2020 title, marking Italy’s first victory in the tournament since 1968.
