PSG Targets Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic Ahead of Summer Transfer Window

Tottenham Hotspur’s rising star Luka Vuskovic has made a significant impact during his loan spell at SV Hamburger in the Bundesliga. Currently, he is tied for the club’s top scorer, netting six goals this season.

As his time at SV Hamburger nears its conclusion, the future of the talented defender remains uncertain. Recently, Vuskovic downplayed the prospect of returning to HSV, suggesting that he will be heading back to Spurs at the end of his loan. He hinted at the end of his stint at the Volksparkstadion.

The Croatian international’s strong performances in the Bundesliga have caught the attention of clubs across Europe, leaving Tottenham with a crucial decision to make this summer. Reports indicate that Dortmund-enter-lula-vuskovic-race-Barcelona-bayern/”>Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have been closely monitoring him. Premier League club Liverpool is also showing strong interest in Vuskovic ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Adding to the competition for Vuskovic’s signature, Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as a new contender.

PSG Boss Luis Enrique Aims to Sign Luka Vuskovic

PSG, the current European champions, have commenced preparations for the upcoming summer transfer window. Manager Luis Enrique has pinpointed key areas for reinforcement and provided a list of priority signings to the board.

A report from Spanish outlet Fichajes indicates that Enrique is keen on acquiring Vuskovic from Tottenham. The Spanish manager considers him a crucial defensive target as he aims to secure the player’s transfer to Parc des Princes ahead of the 2026/27 season. However, Tottenham is hesitant to permit the defender’s departure, which will require PSG to negotiate vigorously to finalize the deal.

Valued at €60 million, Vuskovic stands as Tottenham’s second-most-valuable player and has a lengthy contract with the club. This situation gives Spurs full control over his future. Manager Roberto De Zerbi must ensure the club retains its top-flight status to keep the promising Croatian talent. He is recognized as a key asset in defense, with significant plans for his future at Tottenham.

The North London club is also preparing a new contract for the towering center-back, aiming to place him among the club’s highest earners as a show of how much they value his capabilities. Vuskovic has the potential to take over from Cristian Romero in the starting eleven next season, provided Spurs remain in the Premier League. If relegation occurs, the Croatian might seek an exit, potentially going out on loan to continue his development.

It remains to be seen if PSG will intensify their efforts to secure Vuskovic’s signature.
