Tottenham Aims to Invest in Talented Young Players This Summer
Tottenham Hotspur is one point away from securing their Premier League status with just two matches remaining this season. This is the immediate goal for manager Roberto De Zerbi and the team.
Once safety in the top flight is achieved, fans hope the club will turn its attention to new signings for the summer. De Zerbi, who signed a five-year contract in March, is also looking for strong support from the Lewis family during the transfer window, as he aims to elevate the North London club’s competitiveness in the Premier League.
A significant squad overhaul will be necessary if Spurs intend to close the gap on their competitors next season. The ongoing injury crisis has highlighted the need for players with a solid injury record who can adapt quickly. With Mohammed Kudus sidelined with a quad injury, alongside Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons recovering from ACL injuries, Tottenham must enhance its attacking options.
Tottenham Interested in Shakhtar Donetsk Talent
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Tottenham is among several Premier League clubs eyeing Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Isaque. Other clubs like Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Fulham, and Bournemouth are also tracking the promising young talent from South America.
Shakhtar Donetsk acquired Isaque from Fluminense for €10 million in the summer of 2025, and his market value has surged to €30 million in less than ten months. The teenager made a significant impact in his debut season in Ukraine, contributing to 14 goals.
Tottenham is closely monitoring the performances of the attacking midfielder as the summer transfer window approaches. After just one season in Ukraine, Isaque may be eager to take on a new challenge in the Premier League to further his development in Europe.
Bringing the Brazilian Under-20 international to North London could be a strategic move, as he is capable of playing in multiple midfield roles. At just 19, the former Fluminense player would add energy and agility to De Zerbi’s squad, offering a fresh dynamic in the final third with his incisive vision and passing ability.
If the opportunity arises, Spurs should certainly consider pursuing Isaque. However, they will face stiff competition, as various clubs are ready to act if Shakhtar indicates a willingness to entertain offers.
