The team led by Luis de la Fuente has gone 21 games without a loss, including a perfect record during their 2024 Euro title run. They haven’t lost an official game in nearly two years. After winning group A, La Roja advanced to the Nations League quarterfinals and will try to reclaim their championship title.

Coach Ronald Koeman announced on the eve of the first leg match that the Netherlands will start with Memphis Depay spearheading their attack and Frenkie de Jong in midfield in Thursday’s Nations League quarterfinal matchup against La Roja in Rotterdam.
“The way I saw Memphis in Brazil and the way I see him now, how he has come in and how fresh he looks in training, it does give me confidence for tomorrow,” Koeman told a press conference on Wednesday.
Possible lineup:
Netherlands- Verbruggen; Frimpong, De Ligt, Van Dijk, J. Timber; Koopmeiners, De Jong, Reijnders; Simons, Depay, Gakpo
Spain- Simon; Porro, Cubarsi, Le Normand, Cucurella; Ruiz, Zubimendi, Pedri; Yamal, Morata, N. Williams
Players to watch out for
Lamine Yamal- The 17 year olds sensation is a special talent and everybody saw that in the Euros 2024. He has been immense for Barcelona this season as they have been excellent in the recent past.

He will be a star of the match, if not scoring goals or making irresistible assists, he would be on the right side hugging the sideline to wreak havoc on the Netherland defence.
Virgil Van Dijk- The wall of Liverpool will once again stand tall in the backline of the Oranje, wearing the captain’s armband and ready to neutralise any threat offered by the Spain attack line.

He has been again at his best for Liverpool and will be looking to reciprocate the same performances for his country too.
