FC Porto faces a significant challenge ahead of their vital Portuguese Cup semi-final second leg against Sporting Lisbon, with the news that Zaidu Sanusi has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.
The Nigerian international sustained the injury during Porto’s league match against Tondela last weekend. Since then, Sanusi has been in recovery and was noticeably absent from training on Tuesday, heightening concerns about his participation in the upcoming match.
Head coach Francesco Farioli has confirmed that Sanusi will not be available for the fixture. He provided a succinct update regarding the player’s condition through the club’s official channels.
“Zaidu will remain out as he is still recovering,” the Porto boss stated.
