Manchester City Nearing Full Strength Ahead of FA Cup Final Against Chelsea

Manchester City almost have a full squad available for tomorrow’s FA Cup final against Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side is in a strong position in terms of having players fit and in form for the match at Wembley. The only player in doubt for City is Rodri. Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed that Rodri will travel with the team, although his availability to play is still uncertain.

Pep Guardiola Confirms Rodri’s Travel with Manchester City Squad

In a press conference today, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola discussed the upcoming FA Cup final against Chelsea, where his team aims to secure their second trophy of the 2025-26 season. Rodri has been sidelined for the last five matches due to a groin injury. When asked about Rodri’s potential participation at Wembley, Guardiola stated that while Rodri will accompany the squad to London, he did not confirm whether the midfielder would be available to play. He added: “We will see [if he’s available]. He will travel and we will see.”

The Uncertainty Around Rodri’s Fitness Continues

Guardiola’s comments leave the question of Rodri’s fitness open-ended. His inclusion in the traveling squad lacks significance as the Ballon d’Or winner regularly joins his teammates even when not fit to play. Consequently, the uncertainty regarding Rodri’s status for the final will persist for another day. With Rodri as the sole injury concern, Manchester City is almost at full capacity for the match against Chelsea, making it unclear whether their key midfielder will be participating in the game at Wembley.
