Manchester United Must Shift Focus Away from Kenan Yildiz in Transfer Market

Last summer’s transfer window focused on improving Manchester United’s attacking prowess, although forwards continue to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Juventus have often challenged United in their bid to sign players across the field, from defenders to forwards.

The Italian giants, who are aiming for improvement in their own right following a sixth-place finish in Serie A, are looking at players that can enhance their own squad.

However, while Juventus look to the transfer market for recruitment purposes, the club is also assessing its internal talent to determine what players to retain for future success.

In this context, Italian outlet Gazzetta reports that the club is extremely unlikely to sell Kenan Yildiz this summer, describing the striker as “the only real unsellable player in the squad.”

Yildiz has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United. The Red Devils began monitoring the striker before last summer’s transfer window but opted to focus on alternative attacking options such as Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha instead.

In the late stages of last year, ahead of the January transfer window, it was revealed that Juventus wanted a fee between £78-87m for the forward, and following the transfer window, the Serie A giants locked Kenan Yildiz down to a new contract.

While these developments seemed to close the door on any potential transfer, Juventus’ latest actions further reinforce the belief that the forward will remain in Italy.

As a result, Manchester United may now look to direct their attention toward alternative attacking targets. The club might prioritize different positions first, such as midfield, where recruitment is essential following the departure of Casemiro at the end of the season.
