The official draw for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers has been conducted in Cairo, marking a pivotal step for Africa’s premier football nations as they prepare for the tournament. Defending champions Morocco will compete in Group A alongside Gabon, Niger, and Lesotho.

The qualification campaign is set to commence in September 2026, running through to March 2027. Teams from various African nations will vie for a coveted spot in this highly anticipated football event.
