Eric Djemba-Djemba Joins Baller League’s Legends Team for Upcoming Event
Baller League continues to attract several former Manchester United players.
Another ex-Red Devils figure has now been officially announced for the upcoming Final Four event.
Earlier this year, Angry Ginge’s side Yanited confirmed the signing of Hubert Graczyk for the competition.
Former United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has also featured in the Baller League setup.
Now, Baller League has officially confirmed that former United midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba will take part in the upcoming “Legends vs Creators” event at the O2 Arena on May 25.
The announcement was made through Baller League UK on X.
The competition revealed the latest additions for Team Legends ahead of the event.
Djemba-Djemba spent two years at Manchester United after joining the club from Nantes in 2003 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Cameroon international arrived at Old Trafford during a transitional period for the club.
He made 39 appearances across all competitions.
Eric Djemba-Djemba was often viewed as a physical midfielder with strong energy in the centre of the pitch.
Although his United spell did not fully go to plan, he still remains a memorable figure amongst supporters from the early 2000s era.
After leaving Old Trafford in 2005, he went on to play for several clubs across England, Denmark, Serbia, and Scotland.
Baller League itself has continued to grow rapidly in popularity since launching in the United Kingdom.
The six-a-side indoor competition mixes football, legends, influencers, creators, and former professionals in a fast-paced format.
The league has already featured several former Premier League and Football League players.
Djemba-Djemba joins a Team Legends squad that already includes former Premier League names.
Wilfried Bony, Emmanuel Frimpong, David Bentley, and Loic Remy are all set to feature.
