Bernard Parker, the interim coach of TS Galaxy, has confirmed that influential winger Seluleko Mahlambi sustained an ankle injury during last night’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mahlambi showcased his prowess throughout the match, making significant contributions with his dynamic runs and tactical play. However, he departed the field with discomfort following the game. Notably, his efforts led to a penalty for his team just seven minutes into the Betway Premiership match held at Mbombela Stadium.
In his post-match analysis, Parker stated, “The medical team says he’s got an ankle injury. Maybe he twisted it or he got a knock.” He expressed confidence in Mahlambi’s resilience, wishing him a speedy recovery and emphasizing that there is a 10-day gap before their next fixture.
TS Galaxy is set to face Golden Arrows away from home on May 23, and Parker remains hopeful that the young player will be fit to participate.
