Casemiro Bids Emotional Farewell to Manchester United Fans at Old Trafford

Old Trafford will be filled with emotion this Sunday lunchtime as Brazilian star Casemiro says his final farewells to Manchester United supporters before his departure at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old admitted in January that he understood the significance of knowing how to “say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever,” confirming he would leave the club at the end of his contract this season.

Before Manchester United’s final home match of the 2025/26 season, the club plans to honor the great Casemiro, following the expected announcement of Michael Carrick as the permanent manager.

On the club’s official website on Saturday, Manchester United encouraged supporters to arrive early and take their seats, paying close attention to the Stretford End as Michael Carrick’s Reds walk out of the tunnel for kick-off.

Fans’ group The Red Army is preparing to unveil a large surfer banner honoring Casemiro before his last appearance at the Theatre of Dreams. The design was presented to the Brazilian player at Carrington earlier this month and received his seal of approval. It will be displayed from the west stand tier two, draping down over tier one as the United and Nottingham Forest players emerge.

This occasion promises to be memorable as Casemiro takes to the hallowed turf of the Theatre of Dreams one final time.

Since joining Manchester United in 2022, Casemiro has made 159 appearances, scoring 22 goals. During his tenure, the club has won the League Cup and FA Cup, reached the FA Cup Final on another occasion, and played in the Europa League Final in 2024/25.

The tribute for Casemiro is genuinely deserved and fitting. Despite facing challenging moments in his four-year stint with the club, he departs as a hero and a player who will be hard to replace.
