Celtic Players Gear Up for FIFA World Cup as Tournament Approaches

While Celtic prepares for their upcoming cup final, focus is shifting towards this summer’s FIFA World Cup in North America. The tournament is set to kick off in just 23 days, with Mexico hosting South Africa in Mexico City, a rematch of their encounter at the start of the 2010 tournament, exactly 16 years later.

In 25 days, early in the morning at 02:00, Scotland will play their first World Cup match against Haiti at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. This marks Scotland’s return to the World Cup after a 28-year hiatus.

There is a possibility of Celtic representation in this match, as full-backs Anthony Ralston and Kieran Tierney have been included in Steve Clarke’s 26-man squad for the tournament. Ralston may find himself on the bench unless there are injuries in that position, while Tierney is likely to play a significant role. He has been a key player for Clarke and was instrumental in securing Scotland’s place in the tournament with a remarkable goal against Denmark last November.

Congratulations to both players as they prepare for the competition.
