Chelsea and Alejandro Garnacho May Part Ways After One Season
Chelsea and Alejandro Garnacho could be set to part ways after just one season with each other, despite a seven-year contract being signed last summer between the two parties.
Garnacho, who came through the Manchester United academy, was reunited with the club in their latest match against the Blues.
The Argentine received universal hatred from United’s away collective with chants and boos directed his way whilst cheers were expressed when he made a mistake.
Whilst his relationship with Manchester United supporters now appears forever strained, his relationship with Chelsea also appears to be failing, with the club open to selling the 21-year-old according to The Telegraph.
The publication has also reported that the Blues are aiming to push “cry babies” out of the club in the summer transfer window as they follow Liam Rosenior out the door.
Garnacho has had a limited impact for Chelsea this season with just one league goal and four assists coming in 23 matches.
He has fared better in other competitions, with four goals in the Carabao Cup and two goals in the FA Cup.
Other options have delivered better numbers, however, which could be an influence behind Chelsea wanting to sell him.
It remains to be seen where the London side will aim to send Garnacho, although it appears likely that it may be a permanent move.
River Plate have previously made contact to enquire about the possibility of a one-year loan deal, a transfer which could help Alejandro Garnacho to regain his confidence and form.
His next move will arguably be crucial in ensuring that he can reach the levels that he showed he could reach in his time at Manchester United.
Should his next move be wrong, his potential may be limited, arguably ruining his career and the heights it could have reached.
