In an interview aired by RTVE, Lamine Yamal, an 18-year-old winger for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, discussed Messi’s recent performance, where he scored a hat-trick against Algeria in the opening match of the World Cup.
Yamal expressed his admiration for Messi, calling him the best player in the world and the greatest of all time. He remarked,
“Messi’s hat-trick? Every match he plays proves he is the greatest footballer in history.
If anyone still has doubts, it’s only because they’re actively looking for reasons. Leo is the greatest player of all time,” he said on RTVE.
During the match against Algeria, Messi not only achieved his first-ever World Cup hat-trick but also marked the beginning of a promising tournament for him.
