Manchester United is poised to appoint Michael Carrick as the club’s new head coach. According to BBC Sport, an agreement between the two parties has been reached, and final paperwork is currently being processed.

The official announcement is anticipated within the next 48 hours, as the club aims to complete all formalities before their home match against Nottingham Forest, marking United’s final game at Old Trafford for the season.

The 44-year-old manager is expected to sign a two-year contract, which includes an option for an additional season.

Carrick stepped in as interim manager after Ruben Amorim’s departure in January and has made a notable impact, leading the Red Devils to secure a Champions League spot for next season.
