Mason Greenwood continues to impress in France, already surpassing his previous year’s goal tally. The Manchester United academy graduate made a permanent move from Old Trafford in 2024 after a loan spell at Getafe, aimed at reviving his career.
During his time with Getafe, Greenwood earned the Player of the Season award, netting ten goals and providing six assists in 36 matches. His subsequent transfer to Marseille marked a significant improvement in his performance.
In his inaugural season in France, Greenwood scored 22 goals and provided six assists in 36 games, more than doubling his output from LaLiga. Now in his second year, he has excelled once again, finding the net 25 times and assisting ten goals in 42 appearances, demonstrating remarkable consistency.
This stellar performance has not gone unnoticed, with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that Juventus has joined the ranks of clubs interested in signing him. The Turin-based team has been tracking the 24-year-old for three years, with their technical director attempting to negotiate a deal in 2024 after discussions with Manchester United.
Although Marseille eventually secured Greenwood’s signature, Juventus remained persistent in their pursuit. In his £22.5 million (€26 million) move to Marseille, a 50% sell-on clause was included, allowing Manchester United to profit from any future sale. With Greenwood’s current market value estimated at around £48 million (€55 million), United stands to gain significantly.
