Bus and Train Fares Drop for World Cup Matches at MetLife Stadium

Traveling from New York City to New Jersey for the upcoming World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium will be more affordable than initially expected.

The host committee has announced a significant reduction in the cost of bus services, with round-trip tickets now priced at $20, down from the previously stated $80. This change follows an announcement from New York Governor Kathy Hochul, highlighting an injection of $6 million in additional state funding. Passengers who previously purchased tickets at the original price will receive refunds of $60.

Meanwhile, NJ Transit train services to MetLife will see their round-trip tickets priced at $98, a drop from the previously announced $150. This price cut comes courtesy of New Jersey’s collaboration with sponsors like DoorDash and Audible.

These adjusted fares align with the overall costs associated with attending any of the eight matches at MetLife Stadium this summer. Currently, the lowest resale ticket price for the June 22 match between Norway and Senegal stands at $544.50 on Ticketmaster.

Additionally, tickets for the World Cup Final at MetLife on July 19 are available starting at $9,607.53 on Ticketmaster.
