The Brazilian defender Thiago Silva is at a crossroads as he seeks his next move in football.

The legendary centre-back, now 41 years old, will be leaving Porto after the club announced the end of their partnership on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Silva departs as a free agent, having not extended his contract with the team. He must now decide whether to retire or pursue another season with a new club.

Silva joined Porto in January 2026 on a six-month contract and made 14 appearances during his time with the Dragons, though he did not contribute any goals.

Throughout his illustrious career, Thiago Silva has represented several notable clubs, including PSG, Fluminense, Juventude, Chelsea, and Milan.
