Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has expressed strong criticism regarding the current state of La Liga in an interview with the El Chiringuito program. His remarks highlight deep concerns about the competitive integrity of the Spanish championship.
Pérez made a striking comparison, asserting that winning Europe’s top club competition is now easier than securing the domestic league title. He described the current situation in La Liga as having “gone beyond logic.”
“Winning the Champions League is easier than La Liga. It’s absurd!” Pérez exclaimed with emotion.
Further addressing the issues at hand, he pointed to questionable refereeing decisions and external influences that he believes have led to substantial point losses for the team. Pérez estimated that Real Madrid has been deprived of between 16 and 18 points this season.
