Tottenham Seeks New Goalkeeper Following Vicario’s Move to Inter Milan

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly searching for a new goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window, as Guglielmo Vicario has reached personal terms with Inter Milan.

Vicario has served as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper since transferring from Empoli in the summer of 2023. However, he has yet to play under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi after undergoing hernia surgery during the March international break. Although the Italian goalkeeper recovered and was available for selection against Chelsea on Tuesday evening, De Zerbi opted to field No.2 Antonin Kinsky instead.

The speculation surrounding Vicario’s potential transfer to Inter Milan has intensified in recent weeks, prompting the N17 management to take action. After several high-profile errors in three seasons with Tottenham, it may be prudent for the club to sanction Vicario’s sale if a suitable offer presents itself and seek a more dependable goalkeeper in his place.

Di Gregorio has had a challenging season at Juventus, where he lost his starting position to Mattia Perin under coach Luciano Spalletti, yet remains the club’s No.1. Recent developments regarding the futures of Juventus goalkeepers have emerged.

Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale reported on X that Juventus is willing to consider offers for Di Gregorio if a fitting price is suggested during the summer transfer window. Spalletti holds a high regard for Perin and is likely to retain him, while the Turin club explores the possibility of acquiring Liverpool‘s Alisson Becker as a potential replacement for Di Gregorio.
