Tottenham Aims for Summer Rebuild After Narrowly Escaping Relegation

Tottenham Hotspur faces a significant rebuilding task under Roberto De Zerbi in the upcoming summer transfer window after securing their place in the Premier League. The team avoided relegation on the final day of the season by defeating Everton 1-0 at home, finishing in 17th position for the second consecutive year.

With safety in hand, De Zerbi aims to strengthen the squad in several crucial areas. He has already expressed his transfer demands to the Tottenham board, putting pressure on club officials to revamp the team after a disappointing season. While discussions of potential signings circulate around White Hart Lane, there are rising concerns over the future of key players who may wish to leave.

Cristian Romero is reportedly being targeted for an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and his centre-back partner Micky van de Ven is also likely to attract interest in the summer window. Additionally, the futures of Richarlison and Guglielmo Vicario remain uncertain.

Jeff Stelling Outlines Tottenham’s Transfer Needs

Despite avoiding relegation, a major overhaul could still be on the horizon for Tottenham. De Zerbi is keen to retain his top talents, but some players may seek new opportunities due to the absence of European football next season.

TalkSPORT host Jeff Stelling has identified priority roles that need addressing in the upcoming transfer period. He urges the Spurs board to invest wisely and decisively to strengthen the team.

“They certainly need a goalkeeper. I know the boy [Kinsky] did well in the latter stages. They need a striker, a new central defender and a wide player. They need massive investment. They need to be ruthless,” Jeff Stelling said on the talkSPORT show.
