Wikki Tourists have announced the tragic passing of defender Kabiru Mohammed, who lost his life in a fatal road accident along the Zaria–Gusau highway.
The club described the news as a devastating blow, affecting not just the team but also supporters and the Nigerian football community at large.
Kabiru Mohammed had recently joined Wikki Tourists from Lobi Stars before the commencement of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season. Despite his brief time with the club, he was recognized for his discipline, commitment, and strong work ethic, quickly becoming a reliable presence in defence.
His last match for the club was in the President Federation Cup fixture against Jigawa Golden Stars Junior Team at Nasara Stadium, Kofar Doka, Zaria, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
