A lookalike of Patrice Lumumba has gained prominence during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and is set to join the Democratic Republic of Congo’s official delegation for the upcoming World Cup. The event, scheduled for this summer, will take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The decision to include Lumumba’s lookalike was made following a request from the players of the Congolese national team, who felt his presence was essential after he missed the critical intercontinental play-offs final against Jamaica.
The trip will be fully funded by the Congolese government, ensuring that he will attend all of the national team’s matches during the tournament.
