Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has addressed growing speculation regarding the potential appointment of José Mourinho as the club’s new head coach. In a recent statement, Pérez firmly dismissed rumors that suggest the Portuguese manager is currently being considered for the role.

“This issue is not on the agenda right now… It’s not true that the president always single-handedly chooses the coach,” Pérez emphasized, hinting at a collective decision-making process within the club.

While negating any ongoing negotiations, the president acknowledged Mourinho’s significant contributions to Real Madrid’s success. He noted,

“Mourinho was with us, he raised our level of competitiveness, and thanks to that foundation we won six Champions League trophies in ten years.”

Mourinho, who managed Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015, led the team to victory in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup during his tenure.
