Manchester United Revamps Goalkeeping Lineup Amid Former Keeper’s New Campaign
Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation has looked very different this season following several major changes behind the scenes at Old Trafford.
Andre Onana left Manchester United to join Trabzonspor on loan earlier this season after a difficult spell at the club.
While the Cameroon international has shown flashes of quality in Turkey, reports suggest Trabzonspor are currently unwilling to meet United’s asking price to make the move permanent.
At the same time, United moved quickly to strengthen the position.
Senne Lammens arrived from Royal Antwerp last summer.
The Belgian goalkeeper has quickly become one of the club’s standout performers during his debut campaign at Old Trafford.
Away from the current squad, another former United goalkeeper has now found himself back in the spotlight following a surprise appearance as part of a major UK campaign.
According to Metro, the ex-Manchester United shot-stopper recently took part in a football-themed Tesco event.
It was linked to Kellogg’s Football Camps initiative for 2026.
The campaign is set to provide 39,000 free football camp places for children across the UK during the summer holidays.
The former goalkeeper in question was Ben Foster.
Foster appeared alongside former Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick and Oldham Athletic defender Will Sutton during the launch event.
The event included football challenges, penalty shootouts and skill demonstrations for shoppers.
The former England international said: “Taking something as everyday as the weekly shop and turning it into some football fun for families has been brilliant.”
Ben Foster has remained heavily involved in football since retiring from the professional game.
The 43-year-old has built a major online following through his YouTube content, podcast appearances and football analysis.
He also recently reflected on his Manchester United departure.
Foster admitted that his relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson contributed to his Old Trafford exit earlier in his career.
