Real Madrid is set to part ways with a key player as team captain Dani Carvajal will leave the club at the end of the current season, according to Madrid Universal. The 34-year-old veteran defender’s contract is set to expire on June 30, and the management has confirmed that they will not be renewing it.
Carvajal has been a pivotal figure in the squad since his return from Bayer in 2013. Over the years, he has grown into a leader both on and off the pitch. Despite his desire to continue with the club and hopes for a new contract, the management has opted against extending his tenure.
Throughout his illustrious career at Real Madrid, Carvajal has amassed an impressive collection of accolades, securing 26 titles, which include four La Liga championships and six Champions League victories. He has also made over 440 appearances in the iconic Madrid jersey.
