Igoh Ogbu has successfully undergone surgery following an Achilles tendon injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria. The Slavia Prague defender suffered the injury during the June international break.

Subsequent medical tests confirmed a ruptured Achilles tendon, which ruled the 24-year-old centre-back out of action just days before Nigeria’s international friendly against Portugal.

Slavia Prague have announced that Ogbu will be sidelined for approximately three months as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation process under the club’s medical team.
