Senegalese forward Issa Soumare is poised to make a move to France’s Ligue 1, joining Stade Rennais on a free transfer. The player had garnered interest from clubs including Feyenoord and Schalke 04, but ultimately chose to sign with Rennes.
Sources in the French media confirm that the 25-year-old winger will officially join the club once his contract with Le Havre AC expires on June 30. As a free agent, he will bring his talents to Rennes without any transfer fee.
During his last season with Le Havre, Soumaré had a notable performance, scoring eight goals and providing five assists across 34 appearances in Ligue 1.
